Welcome

Welcome to the website of the Administrative Board of Harvard College. The Administrative Board is the committee of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences (FAS) responsible for the application and enforcement of undergraduate academic regulations and standards of social conduct. This includes review of academic records, petitions to the standard rules and policies outlined in the Student Handbook, and addressing issues of student conduct.

Established in 1890, the Administrative Board is among the oldest of the Faculty’s committees and is primarily concerned with the educational and personal growth of undergraduates, both as individuals and as members of an academic community. The membership of the Administrative Board explicitly includes those who have a strong link to undergraduate education and student life. Every student in the College has, in their Resident Dean of First-Year Students or Allston Burr Resident Dean, a representative on the Board.

Every member of the Board is committed to working with you on any matter related to these areas and your time at the College. This website is designed to provide information about the work of the Board and about its policies, procedures, and practices. If you have questions, please feel free to be in touch.
